I'm Andres Calderon, Dre to almost everyone. I started DresticHaus in Boston in 2012 as Fama Films and rebranded to DresticHaus in 2019. In 2026 I moved it to Las Vegas.
Most of my year is spent on headshots and event coverage for companies and conferences. I set up a full station on an expo floor, run attendees through it all day, and get the gallery back inside 48 hours. The most recent one was the Wells Fargo x NGLCC 2026 headshot station in San Diego, booked through goMLR.
The other half is couples. I shoot elopements, photo and film together, from a chapel on the Strip to the desert in the same afternoon, with your vows on real audio instead of a soundtrack.
And then there is the night sky. I have spent years photographing it at places like Pine Mountain Observatory and the Alvord Desert, where you get one clear night and no second chance. That work taught me exposure, patience and how to plan a shoot around something I cannot control.
Why trust me with either one? Range, honestly. I learned on sports and fashion, then spent years on astrophotography, then spent the pandemic making dance films with Boston companies like Onstage Dance Company when recitals could not happen in a room. I have shot a wedding on 8mm Kodak Ektachrome in Cairo. Film is still my favorite medium and it still shows up in client work.
Before cameras paid the bills I spent eight years as a strategic partner to C-suite executives in biotech, legal, private equity, manufacturing and architecture. That is why corporate clients get a clear scope, a crew that arrives early, and an invoice that makes sense to their finance department.
I build my own tools. I wrote StarForge, an open source astrophotography stacker for macOS, and the pipeline that turns a shoot into a delivered gallery: named, sized, checksummed, backed up twice. It is the reason a 400 person headshot day does not take a week, and the reason a file you ask for six months later still exists under the name you expect.
I am also CTO of VerticalFrame, an AI agent platform. Photography is the work I chose. Software is the reason I am fast at it, and the reason I can sit in a room with your engineering team without blinking.
My work has been recognized by the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards, the Boston Dance Film Festival and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
Off the clock: Formula 1, writing code, cooking far too much food, non-fiction, and actual flight lessons.
